Are Trivia And Nonsense A Disgrace?

I just saw a new 2003, 2500 CTD 4x4 at the local dealer, I know how I feel about the looks of the new trucks, how do you feel?

1. They are Beautiful

2. They are OK

3. They are Funny looking

4. They are Ugly

Kinda Funny lookin

I still like the old square ones the best, still having a hard time letting go of my '89. If I could have my '96 motor transmission etc in my old '89 I'd be even happier:D .

I guess I should say I am happy with the way they designed and changed the 2003 2500/3500, since I can't afford to change trucks in the next 3-4 years. Now I can be very happy with the truck I have. :D

I was out at a dealer yesterday. They had a 2002 and a 2003 parked side by side. That 2003 is just plain ugly. Even my wife can't stand it. I'm going to have to take real good care of this truck, it's going to have to last a long time.

3rd generations look funny, that is why/ when I bought mine. The new ones are too civilized. 2nd generation= last of the "real trucks. "

They look O. K. to me but I don't like the new drivetrain as much as I do the older stuff. I ordered a 2002 because I wanted the Dana axles and the 94 to 02 body style.

I think they're butt ugly, just like I thought of the 97. 5 Ford 1/2 tons but I wasn't crazy about the 2nd gen Dodges either when I first saw them. Knowing what DC did to the engine compartment on the 3rd gen doesn't help my feelings about them. Craig

I don't care

My 96 will please me for many more years. With only 110,000 miles I got a looonngg way to go before the FIRST overhaul.

Same here, I like the 1st gens best. Also, the engine isn't half-hidden by the body.

What I do like about the 3rd gen is:

pretty fair stock HP/TQ

four doors (even if not a real crew cab)

availability of a SRW 1 ton

new "C" badge on fender :D

This poll is not going to well for the new trucks. At this point 50% of the voters think that the new trucks are either funny looking or ugly. If that is what the members of the TDR ( that love big Dodge CTD trucks) think, what will the normal consumer think? I see large rebates and 0% financing in the future for 03 buyers Oo.

Sometimes being funny looking or ugly has benefits :D I should know :-laf

DEPRESSING

saw one in TERRA HAUTE indiana ugly ugly ugly and to quiet I can't even hear it run so how can I shift by ear if you can't hear the engine don't like the exterior or the in side of cab don't care about the true crew cab or not no one ever rides with me anyway

later diesel kings

Very ugly. They are going to be a nightmare to work on. I guess for the guys that don't care what it looks like and don't like to tinker!

Michael

I shift by feel, so it won't be any problem having the quiet motor. And, I bought the Cummins for its reliability, and since it has over 300hp from the factory, I figure I don't need to tinker much. Just maintenance stuff - and we'll see how that works out. Won't be a problem for my skinny arms. And, I do care what it looks like, so don't throw insults at those of us who do like them and will be the pioneers. It seems like there are some serious cases of sour grapes out here.

You guys must be blind. This thing is a work of art. Dictators the world over will be scooping these babies up by the dozen. I can finally hear myself think. The crabby wench at the border won't be yelling at me to "turn the thing off" and then ask me "why is it so noisy?". They will finally get my order right at the drive through. My wife will finally quit crabbing for me to get a hearing aid. My dogs will love that new back seat. All is well with the world.

As for service, this is nothing. I have worked on far worse and I don't mind a bit of a challenge. Oo. Oo.

Really guys, I think there are a lot of closet 2003 wanabees out there. Come on, fess up!! :{

Casey :D :D
