I have a rattle coming from underneath my truck that I usually only hear when coming down a hill. Tonight I was coming down a paved road that is fairly steep, windy and kind of rough. I was coming down the hill in 4th gear anywhere between 1,000 and 2,000rpm with my foot on and off the brake to slow for corners. The noise sounds like something is loose but I haven't noticed anything when I crawl around underneath. It is not a tinny sound like a heat shield or exhaust. Could it just be drivetrain slop? My truck is only 4,000 miles away from the 36,000 mile warranty so I need to take it in for the door seal and was hoping to see if I can get this problem resolved if I can figure out what it is. Thanks for your help

My cat was only about an 1/8 inch off the cross support and I would get a loud rattle every now and then. I bent the exhaust hanger to give the cat more wiggle room about 1/2 inch and the noise has disapeared. Hope this helps. Replaced the door seals last week,the new ones are flat where the doors rubbed. They told me these are the seals for the 05's. They don't rub anymore.

My truck rattles and makes tons of noise at slow speeds. But I believe it to be the heim joints that the fancy shocks are mounted with on the DRC/Kore suspension. I love the suspension, but the heim joints suck suck suck. I have been living with the clunk/rattle for nearly six months with no luck making it go away :{

Good luck with yours.
