I have developed a rattle when stopped in gear with engine running, sounds like pipes or something rattling (metal to metal). I have crawled under the truck while doing this and can not find the rattle by holding the exhaust etc. Any suggestions  . Yes I am thinging about taking it in to the Dealer.

Check to see if your transmission dipstick tube is rattling against anything.

My truck came from the dealer with a ty-wrap holding it to a metal heater line and I've never heard it rattle.

Sounds like what my truck has been doing for quite sometime. Its from a

injector that is nearing the "out-of-spec" and not closing all the way

(probably). Are you hearing a very noticable metalic tick that changes alittle

while running? Sometimes it does it louder than others.

These injectors are like spark-plugs in my opinion some will last longer than

others... A solenoid A-top an Injector is only good for so long... i was really

peaved when i found out that the injectors were electricly fired, and atleast

2 times per piston stroke...

Oh well, ill keep her untill the 100,000 mark comes around (Warranty Ends)

Wouldnt want to absorb an entire engine meltdown, or close to it, because a

injector wants to stay open and do what you see in ceamans Thread.

-Mitch :D Still lovin tha truck

P. S. If my truck was or gets any louder than it is, i would take it to the

dealer and make them do the Inj. shutdown test. So, yes i say take it to the

dealer.
