Grinding noise FIXED!

I installed an RB1 radio in the truck. I'm having an issue that someone may be able to help with. All the radio functions work, and most of the navigation functions are fine (calculates the trip, the map displays, the find function is OK). I'm having a problem when it seems to have to access the internal memory. I can't save a position, add to the address book, or display the address book. THe address book folders appear, but I can't access them at all--no addresses appear on the display, although they show that there's several stored.

Does anybody know if there's a reset or "reboot" function for the RB1? I've tried disconnecting it, but that doesn't work.

This has been happening for a couple of months, so I waited for the "AC" software to be available to see if that would fix the problem, but no go. BTW, the AC version of the software will give you your clock on the display when the radio is shut off.

Thanks for any help.

you can get it at morpar4less.com

The clock shows with the unit off on the previous version as well so it must have been a running change.

I think it was $187

Disk purchase

I wound up paying $90 off of e-bay for the disk, just got it yesterday (9-14-04). I had the "AA" version prior to this.
