I have the 40 Gallon unit. Ordered it from Northern tools. At the time I did not know how it would fit in a shortbed. After I received the tank and during the install at the point where the wheel wells are the tank 45's back to the front for the clearance. I have been using a transfer pump that I picked up a few years ago to fill the main tank. The aux. tank comes with a bottom drain, a top suction and vent. There is also a plate in the tool box area that can be used with a level gauge (comes with a mechanical unit) or fuel pump. I also installed a hose and a cheap in line fuel filter on the vent after finding a bed full of diesel while going to higher altitudes (tank was actually pressurizing with vent capped). Someday I will probably plumb it into the main tank with a solenoid and electric pump but transferring it with the pump I have now is not a real issue. The combo 40 tank by the way sits slightly below the bed rails which I think gives the truck a clean look. http://www.rdsaluminum.com/home.ilx?idVisitor={E1BFFA71-93DE-41A0-BF8B-49540BD9ACF6}
hey thanks for the responce... . i am really tossing the idea around. i have a fourwheeler and i like to put it in the bed but i think it might still fit.
I have no experience with RDS products but be sure to look at Transfer Flows products before you decide. I have lots of experience with Transfer Flow stuff and it is top notch.
