Ok well I'm going to upgrade to Diamond B 370's here in a month or so so I'm taking my 300's out and putting my OE 215's back in to make matters easier.

Question is my OE 215's have been sitting in the box that my 300's came in on my counter for the last 7 or 8 months.

What should I do to my OE's before reinstalling them?

Do I need to get a injector installation kit(i. e. new washers)?

Thanks

P. S. the 300's are already sold before anybody might ask. ;)

injector seals

The old sealing washers will probably seal ,I have reused them before. If youknow someone that works on them say a friend at a dealer they will have some left over from a master gassket set. You may want to use the thin ones if possible.

I am lost. How does an extra injector swap make things easier

Knowing that they are going to come out again ASAP. I think your could reuse the existing washers?

As long as they are clean I do not think I would worry about it much, but a little diesel bath might not be a bad idea.

It will make the injectors easier to sell, not having to wait to take 'em out is what I meant. Sorry I didn't make that clearer.

I'm hesitant to get the 370's because I'm running a OEM take-out clutch that was given to me by Black Mountain Diesel two months ago when I fried my TST in the Cynthiana KY truck pull. I'm trying to save right now to get a dual disk clutch, but won't be able to until I get my tax return in late Feb.

No the 215's are not for sale at any time. I'm planning on holding on to them incase I ever decide to sell the truck.

Please no more E-mails asking me if I want to sell them. :(

:-laf I'm guessing you think I still have my #10 in.

Not a chance with a OEM take out with at least 100K on it probably. I'm back to my OE plate as well. I'm going to slide the plate full fwd. when I go back to my OE injectors to compensate for HP loss.

I cannot and WILL NOT go back to stock! :-laf

Put the 370 in and save one change!Remember the throttle only goes as far as your foot puts it. With the stock plate it should be ok.

Lemme get this straight... . you aren't getting the clutch to hold power of a slid plate and 370's for almost 6 months.

SO, right now you are going to go back to almost stock for half a year???:--) Somehow I fail to see the logic:confused:

Dude... . put in the 370's, adjust the plate and just watch your right foot. You must not like power or something.

I can afford to upgrade to the injectors right now because I can sell mine for almost the amount of 370's. I'm only going back to my 215's and OE plate for a couple of weeks at most, until I get the time to order/install 370's. The 300's are already sold that's why I'm removing them.

I CANNOT afford a daul disk clutch at this time that will hold the 370's, a slide #10, the HX 40(I'm getting dirt cheap) I'm planning on (really good deal, but waiting to dump money on turbo after I I get my clutch), and hold together for sled pulling occasionally next year.

Now, if you would like to donate to my clutch fund I'll send you a PM with my address. ;)
