Re-Oiling the K&N - Both Sides?

Just washed and dried my K&N for the first time. Directions about re-oiling don't say whether it's to be oiled on both sides or just one. And if on only one side, should it be on the intake side or the side closest to the engine? Advice requested. Thanks.

The oil needs to be placed on the air intake side only! Go easy on the oil. It doesn't take much.
