i want to put rear disc brakes on a 95 3500 from a 02 3500 what is differnt ? does any one make a adperter to get this done ??

I just did a search on our TDR seach forum, "rear disc brakes", and there is a bunch of info. in there. They show 20 pages worth, so you'll have to pick & choose.

Good Luck, Ray

Braml,

I got a full set up from EGR brakes that works well. I also talked to Fabian at Toxic diesel who has found a combination of O. E. parts that works for your truck. I think it uses cadillac rotors. l don't think the 02 stuff will be an easy swap but let me know if you get it to work.

The axle ends are different and you'd be better off swapping axles. Or, you could have a rear axle service cut off the old (drum) axle ends and weld on new (disc) ones but this is even more expensive. ($750 each)

Take a look on car-parts.com and see if there are any near you.

mbdickey,

How do you rate your Blackbirds custom conversion? Did everything go together statisfactorily? Did you have to change out or remove proportioning valve? Was there a major performance difference over the drums? Their kit looks very reasonably priced.

Just bought the EGR kit for Dodge duallies, but have not installed it yet. It uses Chevy/GMC 1-ton truck rotors and Cadillac calipers/pads according to the instruction sheets.
