Readiness Monitor reads "System Spark"

I recently had my grandson (a diesel mechanic) delete old stored trouble codes (P0477 exhaust pressure control valve low and incorrect immobilizer key)
I'm trying to get the truck smogged before reregistering it. After a number of start cycles the OBDII readiness shows "components incomplete" and "System type as SPARK" Since this is a Cummins diesel, why would it read as spark system.
I understand that I may need more warm up cycles and miles to achieve readiness but the Spark vs diesel
concerns me.

Thanks for the tip. This does sound like my situation. I'll need to investigate further. When the dealer looked up my truck they said no recalls were noted. Thanks for pointing me toward a direction to search
