My back passenger's side wheels lockup. I checked the codes from behind the glovebox. After grounding the plug, the ABS light flashed 9 times. It kept flashing 9 times. Does anyone know what this means?
I couldn't find anything in the 93 service manual. The codes for turning the key on, off, on , off, on in a 3 second period and then counting the flashes at the check engine light don't cover ABS?
Hopefully someone will have this data for you and post it.
I doubt the ABS is the problem, more than likely a mechanical problem. Have you done any work on the rear brakes prior to the problem coming up?
Stan and Neil: I checked by way of the key. It shows a 55. I believe that is an end of system code. I have the Getrag. Rich P. S. Thanks for your responses. Also, sorry if this question appeared twice lastnight, these darn computers continue to conspire against me!
Yep, 55 is "end of codes". I could find that one. Had to PM neil to see where he found that 9 code. Told me where it was and it was 1 page different in my 93 than in his 92. I bet I looked at that chart 3 times last night -looked but didn't see it!
I hope you can find your problems and get the truck fixed.
