Hi Guys;

I'm selling my 04. 5 quadcab to get a 07 megacab and am Very concerned about the new 6. 7 and it's host of new emissions goodies. I'm not so concerned about the new auto but I normally go manual. The new auto trucks are rated at 350hp while the manuals are still 325hp. Does anyone have a definitive answer on what the torque ratings are on the two trannies? Is the auto stronger? Is the new 6spd manual as reliable as the NV5600 I have now? My big concern is the motor, I'm thinking I'd be better of to find an 07 5. 9 with a manual trans. I'm very concerned about the particulate filter and cooled exhaust gas recirculation. Cummins has always been proud to say they don't use EGR but now they do. The EGT's must be very high as well since they have gone to a water cooled turbo. Somebody please put my mind at ease, I need real info from someone in the know.

Thanks

Gino
