Scroll Down and Look at the Unimog AND THE TRAILER!!!!

This is the TRAILER DRIVE SYSTEM!!!!!

25. 1. Hydraulic Drive System – Multi mode motion or load synchronized hydraulic drive system which may be powered from the onboard 25Kw diesel generator engine, via the external hydraulic fluid power connections, or both. The drive system is only engaged at speeds below 30Mph for sever off road operation. Has independent low speed (2Mph) crawler mode (with hydraulic steering) for trailer positioning without a tow vehicle.

That is pretty cool! I like that you can get a boat that goes 60 and unmanned plane to scout with. Nothing exceeds like excess!

It seems to me that I saw one of those "Unimog's" on TLC a few weeks back, that the guy built for him and his wife to vacation in. Anyways, his wife was handicaped/couldnt climb stairs or something; and he built an elevator for her to get in and out of the RV.

No, that was an all wheel drive airport fire truck that he converted to an RV. Much larger than a Unimog...

I stand corrected RMachida; now that you mention that, I somewhat remember the build. Thanks!!!

I watch so much dang Discovery, TLC, and History channel that I get them confused. But, what the heck else is on TV thats worth watching???

I (obviously) watch way too much TV too! Ocassionaly, Unimogs show up here for sale and I think there must be someone restoring them since some look like they are in mint condition. Most of them seem to be NATO surplus from Canada or something like that and most of them are gas not diesel. I tried to buy one about 15 years ago but they wanted way too much for the condition that they were in.

So does anyone know what a rig like some of the ones in the pictures runs?? How about a trashed out one? I can only imagine.

just a basic mog starts around 10k no matter how beat it is. the portal axles are getting big in the offroad events.

this is also a flat bed model. they are made in dual rear axles, single axles and the attachments you can get for them are ungodly cool. front ned loaders, plows, hoists, hoes front and back, fork lifts... mogs rock
