For those of you who are drag or nascar fans, take a peek at Speedvision this weekend. Starting Saturday at noon:30, Speedvision will show the Rolex 24Hours at Daytona. . LIVE from flag-to-flag! For those unfamiliar, it works like this: It is a time-race, not a distance race. The green flag drops at 1pm... the teams (2,3,4 or 5 drivers per car) will race all day, all night, thru Sunday morning... until 1pm... 24 hours after the start. At the checkered flag, whoever goes the most laps, wins. You will see several classes of cars racing on the track at the same time... so, there are several races going on at once! Teams from all over Europe, Japan, the US and Canada will beat on each other for this twice around the clock event. You will see that they use both the banking AND the infield road course... so the cars must be set up to not only turn left, but to brake, shift and turn right as well, and will cover about 2500 miles during the race! Even the slowest class in the race is faster than the Winston Cup cars... so it is a wonderful display of technology, skill, horsepower and teamwork. ENJOY!! You know where you'll find me all weekend: glued to the TV with a Guiness in hand!
