Is there any twin setups out there that have a smaller than stock turbo w/ a turbo a little better than stock? I am probably wrong but I am guessing that this will help bring the power in at lower rpm ( w/ the right fueling) I am wanting to get more power, but I dont want a lot of smoke and better off idle performance. any info would be appriciated.

There were several guys running hy35-9/ht3b twin set ups a while back, not sure about how well they work, but seems if you were to use a good external wastegate to bypass the excessive drive pressure around the small turbo it might be a nice set up for towing.

If I was looking for the most bottom end air possible, I think I would try an HY-9 on top, with a good external wastegate setup.

I think RonA is running an HY-9 sec and a K31 primary in a set of towing twins. You may contact him, he always has good advice.

An H2E, HX50 or HX55 might make a decent primary for a set of towing twins too. And H2E's can be found pretty cheap usually.

I had a set of BD's twins in my 03', and they are VERy responsive on the low end. These twins are only rated for 550ish rwhp, but the bottom end is lightning quick.

I dont care so much about more boost, I just want this thing to start pulling at like 13 or 1400 rpm. I dont know if that would be more related to cam profile or if i can get a turbo to spool down in this rpm and be happy with that. I dont really want over 40 -45 psi boost, and dont need 400hp ( if that much power is attainable w/the lower rpm power, great!) I was just thinking if I had a smaller turbo than what I have now (stock) and another one that was close but more efficient than what I have, I could have great response and power w/o the pre-boost cloud of smoke (which is cool but not for me. )

I don't think you are going to find anything that will do what you want. 1300 rpm is a bit low. If you did a cam change and put on a Nasty 9, that would be about as extreme on the bottom as you'll find. Your top end will suffer. If you need more bottom end because of the gaps between gears, bumping your power level up will help alot. If you are nearly stock, going up to around 375 hp is fairly cheap, and will help with the gearing gaps.
