My stock manifold is cracked, and I need to replace it, I was wondering what kind of expectation I should have for performance/EGT reduction when using one. Particularly from those of you who already have them. And is the extra cost of the Ceramic coating worth it? What benefits does it have over the standard finish?

I put mine on the middle of last week. I can't say specifically if anything changed since I also swapped my stock 12cm housing for a 14cm one at the same time. I suspect between the two EGT's dropped a little (100 degrees est. , maybe a bit more). Piers may have a better idea. I added mine as preventive maintenance against cracking/warpage.



As for the finish, I sprayed mine down good with silver BBQ paint. So far it is holding up well (1 week!). Looks kinda cool. Time will tell. Stock finish is bare cast metal.

Kev... . Don't expect any measurable performance or EGT reduction when installing the ATS manifold. The main advantage is the 3-pc manifold allows expansion and contraction, therefore, no more cracking and very well constructed to handle heavy turbos... As far as powder coating, I did mainly for rust control and looks... .

I agree that the temp reduction is negligible, maybe 25 - 30 degrees under hard driving conditions. Hot jet coating (inside and out) cost me around $200, I believe.

The ATS maifold is well worth it. I was getting so much warpage the maifold bolts were bending in twards the center I had even drilled the holes out to allow for more shrinkage eventually this will break the ears off on the head:eek: Of course this is a 12valver with the heavy manifold the 24's usually break the manifold. I really did'nt notic a EGT loss (maybe a little) but piec of mind knowing I'm not going to ruin a head(this way) is well worth it. I think Piers has a special on the ATS's give him a call

I had already installed a 4 inch exhaust, injectors,fuel box, ram-air hood etc. but the addition of the ATS manifold reduced my EGTs by a full 100 degrees. The manifold made the most change for my specific setup.
