Project Sidewinder made its debut at the Bonneville Salt Flats Oct. 16th, pulling its own trailer of spare parts and pit equipment. With nothing more than a change to racing tires, Don Alexander drove the street-legal Sidewinder to a new International Land Speed Record of 182. 612 MPH, with a peak speed of 192. 608 MPH on the first day. After a bit of race tuning during the event, the Sidewinder broke its own record with a two-way average of 217. 314 MPH, and a peak speed of 222. 139 MPH!
