rear 3500 bumper

My newly aquired 1997 3500 Dually is missing the rear bumper and trailer hitch. I was wondering if I can use a stock bumper from any of the 94-01 Rams, and does it have to be a special bumper for a dually???

About 1996 or so thebracket to frame mounting bolt pattern changed but I have seen frames with both patterns on them. Otherwise the bumpers are the same (sports are painted instead of chrome, of course). They are only 1/16" thick so I think your money might be better spent on an aftermarket bumper with some beef to it, such as Reunel, Ranchhand, etc.

I looked at the Reunel bumpers, and they are STOUT! Check out their site www.reunel.com they have a pic of a Ram rear with their stout bumper and the hitch specs as well.
