The latch to hold my bench seat up or down keeps catching. I've cleaned it up and lubricated it but the rolling lock will not more properly which is forcing me to use a screwdriver to free it up to lift or lower the seat. Does anyone have a fix for this? Google has failed me
If I remember correctly the lock is an inertia type that is supposed to keep the seat from moving in case of an impact (wreck). The little thing that you hit with the screwdriver has to be free to swing. Maybe some wd-40 or other might help? bg
