Does anybody make rear fuel tanks that mount to the rear of the rear wheelwells, perhaps with a cross over line to balance the fuel load? This seems like a way to keep the weight to the rear for a better ride and improved traction.

www.transferflow.com

They have a 38 gal that goes back there for the long bed. I have heard they have a 31 gal for the sortbed. It also has an electronic system that keeps both taks at the same level down to empty so and a disply for the dash to see how it is going.

Kinda expensive but the ones that put it in have liked the operation so far.

The Transfer Flow replaces the spare tire, and then you've got to find a place to put your spare.

I've got a 3 gal. plastic gas can bungee corded behind the rear wheel for emergencies that otta be good for 30-40 miles.

There is also the replacement tanks. if you have a longbed, there is a 54 gal tank. for the shortbed, I think it is like 45 gal. too expensive for 10 gal or so...

you can have someone build a tank that hangs on the right side. like the old chevy saddle tank... ..... Or go to the junk yard and find one of those tanks... ...

Lotsa possibilities... . good luck.
