Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) rear axle swap

I posted earlier about repair on my '96 with the Dana 70 rear; is it possible or easily changed to a 3500 Dana 80? I'm not to crazy about training wheels, but wondered if there is any other obstacles to watch out for if I decided to swap in a Dana 80? It of course would have to have the ABS tone ring but are the spring perches etc the same etc etc? Thanks for any help.

you could swap in a Dana 80 from a 2500 5-speed with no additional mods. the 5-speed was standard with the 80. Good Luck
