If you get to much rear brakeing you will just slide the rear wheels or trip the antilock system unless you carry a load in the bed all the time. Can't mention brands but get a set of inexpensive rear shoes and they are going to handle any amount of braking needs. It takes a long time to wear any of them out. Most all rear shoes are of a pretty good quality, they are just marketed differently and sold at various prices. One factory I visited had a split in the assembly line going off to the right. These shoes got a paint job. That made them a premium shoe. ----Sam
