Rear break light went out????

recently my Left rear break light went out, should i have gotten a message on my dash?????I thought i would have... thanks:-laf

I would think so unless your TIPM turned it off on purpose. They have a funny sense of humor that way. .

all stock...come to think of it, a few yrs ago i went to dealer and they told me my break light was bad... never had a warning on the dash... maybe it does not show on my dash... .....

Mine did the same thing. Had to replace the asymbly holding the light bulbs.

Mine was just the bulb, but no message indicating a was bulb inoperative. A guy in the parking lot gave me the message LOL.

Try reseating the brake bulb if that works clean the socket and apply some dielectric grease in the socket. You also might reseat the pigtail and place some dielectric grease on it as well.
