I was thinking of changing my rear breaks from the 12 X 3 captive drum to the 13 X 3.5 free floating drums from a 2nd gen. Just looking for thoughts and options

Thanks

I have thought about disc conversion, i dont care for the caliber EGR uses in their kit. I've been thinking about adapting 3rd gen rear disc over to it. The biggest thing im after is to get rid of the captive drum, so I dont have to pull the hub every time i wand to do break work

Size aside, IMHO the 1 gen bendix setup is better than the 2 gen GM style setup. A 3 gen disc swap would be the bees knees.

Not a fan of the EGR setup either. Trying to find the info I have bookmarked on the other kit that is out there. I didnt want to do the EGR one either and had made a note of this setup..... this is gonna bug me now as I cant find it.

I like the twin caliber kit they have on that site, especially if you forget the old chevy caliber and replace it with a 4 or 6 piston one from willwood. Speaking of which RSchwarzli, if you get that Willwood front set up figured out on the crew cab, id be interested in a set of the caliber brackets.

I will keep that in mind. I suspect that will happen this winter. I will likely also be making a few sets as the 90 could use some more stopping power too.
