Rear camera question

I have a 2016 3500 cc,lb,srw with the 5.0 display
My screens picture is quite dark when in reverse.
Is there a adjustment to brighten up the display for the rear view camera? The rest of the time that the rear view is not on display seems plenty bright. ( camera lens is clean ) All my other cars/ trucks are a lot brighter

Is your ambient light sensor (front of dash, near where the windshield meets the dash) usually in a dark area when you notice this (like backing out of a garage)? or is it all the time no matter what?

If it is all the time, is it just because you have your dash light setting really dim?

First thing I checked was the dash dimmer, it’s max. And it’s like NOT bright all the time . Only when I’m in direct clear sun is the display useable.

Think I’m going to check mine against another 5.0 screen
