I searched the past posts about converting my 98 3500 to rear disc. It seems that all the discussions are about 2500s. I read that Piers shelved a project but not sure which vehicle it was for.

Every 5K I change oil, filters, rotate tires, and adjust brakes. I'm also about to turn the front rotors for the THIRD time (truck feels like a bucking bronco when stopping). I guess I'll have to start adjusting the rear brakes at 2500 miles.

Why didn't they make DC recall the adjuster problem?????? They'll recall for an ash tray but no brakes.

Just swaped in an 02 disc brake rear in my 96 3500. The best alteration I ever did. Miracle difference in braking. Getting ready to do the front. Brian

BScott, tell me more. Do you have a 3500? Did you swap in just the brakes or the complete differential? Emergency brake connections? Where'd you get the parts? Cost?

Just full of questions aren't I. Thanks

After much searching I decided that it was easier to swap out my drum brake rear for a disc brake out of an 02 3500 that I found at a reasonable cost. However shipping and replacement of brakes lines due to careless handling it ran me about $2000. 00. Considering that my rear end was needing a rebuild it made it a good deal to upgrade as the new disc rear had only 9800 miles on it. Yes mine is a 2 wd 3500 dually. If you are interested I can check for another rear end for you. Brian
