What needs to be swapped for 1999+ disks on a Dana 80 to be swapped onto a drum DAna 80?

Question 2. Is a proportioning valve then needed too?

Thanks!

Robert,

Since you currently have a Dana 80 the best swap will be getting another rear end from 01. 5 to 02 truck. The drive shaft, spring perches and u-bolts will interchange. Most of the trucks come with rear ABS, so when I did mine, I left the rear prop valve in. However, I did put a couple of washers under the rod(on the shock) to get more fluid to the rear. My worry was during a panic stop the rear would lock up. I purchased the front axle off the same 02, along with the MC and ABS module, so I can get 4 wheel ABS! Braking is sooooo much better.

Cant get a matching front. I still retain the 1st gen, passenger side 4wd drop axle. And with the ratios being a slight bit off from 1998-1999+, I have to stay with it. Besides, the diff only has 11K miles on it so it is still fresh! :)

Still, i like the idea of stopping SOOOO much better! ;)
