I've got the limited slip rear diff and I recently changed the fluid to Amsoil series 2000 75W-90. Every now and then when making a 90 degree left turn, I get a rumbling from the rear end. I don't notice it when making right turns. Is this the rear end chatter from the limited slip? It didn't do this before I switched to the Amsoil. I didn't use the friction modifier because I had read that so many of you didn't need it with the Amsoil.

I'll be out of town for a couple of days and won't be able to get to a computer. Thanks in advance.

I use Amsoil 2000 75-140 in my limited slip. It will chatter if I don't use one bottle of the Mopar friction modifier. I have a Mag-Hytec cover so one bottle is a lot less than I would need with regular lube. I think it depends on how worn your clutches are. Mine are still nice and tight.

This issue seems to be individualized, meaning some trucks need friction modifier and some don't. Think it has to do with loose or tight yur clutch paks are in the differential. Feed back seems to be Mopar friction modifier works best if you need to add any.
