last night i somehow snapped my rear end(dana 70) i thought it was strange 128,000 miles towed maybe 12 times its entire life never real heavy, and im not at to ridiculous of a power level. Anyway i need my truck so today i picked up a 2002 posi (finally) disc brake rear end. So my question is what all is reqired to do the complete brake swap correctly,i know the parking brake cable is different but what else, and what can i do in the future to this from happening again. thanks

IIRC, the master cylinder needs to be replaced as well, for one off of a truck with 4 wheel discs. If you have rear wheel ABS, may need to make a change there too.

well just FYI the swap went very well and suprisingly easy i am still running my stock master cylinder. the braking is definatly better but im sure im not getting the full benefit yet until i switch the MC or proportioning valve. The posi is awesome i cant wait to take it to the track and see how much harder i can launch it.
