Any rear end oil available that has the chrysler anti-spin additive in it... .

Or Can you buy the additive at parts store?

Does full sync. oil meet the " additive " requirement?

full sync. oil is full sync. oil. It has no additive in it. Go to parts store and find anti slip additive that is compatiable with sync. oil and follow the directions. You should be good.

All gear oils act differently. Add the gear oil to the diff's and go do some figure 8's in parking lot if you feel the rear diff "catching" on the turns add the Dodge Limited Slip additive 1/2 bottle at a time and redo the test until you don't feel it catching anymore. It is the only real way to determine if you need it or not. I am using NEO synthetic and mag hi tech covers so I have almost two gallons in my dana 80 and I need 3/4 of bottle of the dodge limit slip additive. Everyone on TDR recommends the dodge LS so I would use it also.

Actually, most of the Hi-performance syn. oils have the additive in them already. I have the Royal Purple stuff in mine, and it has the additive in it already.

Royal purple does have the addative in it. If you use addative in regular gear oil use only the d/c stuff, you will avoid problems. ask me how i know.

I've used the DC additive, and the brand Car Quest carries added to Mobil 1. Since I've switched to Royal Purple I haven't added any. LS still works just fine. FWIW, over half of my miles are towing.

Thanks all, Royal Purple 80-140, Changed it yesterday,

Old oil Black and some metal sheen, no fuz on the fill plug magnet,
gears looked real good, That dana 80 is big... . should last forever...

And Royal Purple is " PURPLE ",,, Purple shirt, purple arms, and purple beard.

Squeezed the bottle to hard
