I was plowing the other nite and when I started moving with snow already in front of the truck I could here something clicking in the back of the truck. The rear sounded like something was skipping a gear maybe slipping and it didn't seem to have much power . This happened after I stopped and started again ,not after I was moving.

I hope someone might have an idea what it is . 22K on 2004 truck

LTS axle, don't think it works very good also axle looked really hot.

What do you mean it "looked" really hot? It wasn't glowing, was it?

I doubt the clicking was the limited slip system... I don't think there's anything in there that would "click" (although I suppose maybe the pinion gears could make a clicking noise in very very odd circumstances). Does the truck still drive now? Might be something as simple as a grenaded wheel bearing, or as bad as a broken gear. I'm just guessing...
