wheelhouse liners

Dave,

here ya go,

2- SHIELD-WHEELHOUSE #55346010

they're both the same so it doesn't matter which side they go on.

You'll need the plastic rivets too. Get 'em at NAPA, the dealer want's too much for these.

I guess I should have asked a few more questions on my last post.

Does the liner go to the inside or outside (wheel side) of the lip?

Does anyone have the part# of the rivets from NAPA? I have the tool, and probably the correct rivets, just want to be sure.

Thanks again guys!

Dave

Dave,

The liners go to the inside of the lip. You'll see the holes in the bed and inside the fender lip where the rivets attach to it. Remove the little black splash guards (the cheesy ones) that came with your truck and this is where two of the holes are,You will see them to the rear of the wheel.

You will have to work 'em in there (the liners) but they'll fit nicely and stop all the mud and such from getting up inside the fenders.

Sorry I don't have the part no's for the rivets off hand.

;) phil

according to my Mitchell estimating program the part number is 53346010 and cost 34. 45 each. It takes 7 rivets a side and the part number is 34201631 and cost 2. 10 each.

I went with plastic rivets from NAPA.

I used 2 Part# 770-2873 6. 6MM Dia. Grip Range . 098-. 197 Head Dia . 515

These were used in the front of the fender lip. I reused two bolts that went through the factory flap and secured my mud flaps in the rear.

For the three to the inside of the wheel I used the following.

Part# 770-2874 6. 6MM Dia. Grip Range . 098-. 197 Head Dia. . 709

On both items 20 pieces to the pack and cost me $6. 26/ pack.

I also picked up a Marson plastic rivet setter Part# 48000 and ran me about $21. 00.

With some careful shopping, you may be able to find these parts cheaper, but the factory appearance is retained and the rivet tool is about a must have.

I hope this has helped someone out there.

Fishin Guide... you helped me! I broke some Mopar supplied rivets and they had none left. Went to Napa and ordered both rivets and the gun. Next morning I was in business! Thanks for the part numbers! I didn't know Napa even carried them. The Mopar pieces are identical to the Napa pieces.

Does anyone have any pics? On my 02, the rear of the fender is covered. But the front is uncovered. If you bent down and looked, you can see inside and what not. These fender pieces will cover up that open space? More specifically where I have my AirDog pump mounted?

I don't have any pics. But, that little plastic "flap" in the back goes away. The entire well area, front to rear, is covered. They extend down on the inside and do a great job of covering the metal in the wells.
