Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) rear gear swap?

has anybody tried to put gears out of a dana 80 into a dana 70?



a friend of mine has some 3. 54's in a 94 dana 80 dodge that we would like to put into another friends 99 auto dodge that has 4. 10's can this be done or are the gear sets just to different?

we didnt think so but thought it was worth asking. my net question then is what needs to be done to put the danna 80 in there? will the 70's drive shaft fit or will it be too different. the 80 is out of a 5spd 4x4 the 70 is in an auto 4x2
