rear light on 3500

on the 3500 dually there is a light in the center of the rear tailgate. do the single wheel 3500's have the light in the middle of the tailgate?



will a 2" leveling kit void warranty? will the 315/70/17's fit without rubbing w/o 2in leveling kit?

There's no rear light onthe SRW's. It's a dually thang.



Yes those tires fit without rubbing if you use the stock wheels. Any wider and you'll need the 2 inches.

Raises the front.

One could argue that by raising only the front, you are slightly lowering the back at the same time But that's another story.

I wish it was a FORD thing. That light is so ugly! I have already called my body guy and asked him to get rid of it and the 5 giant holes behind it.

I believe the light is there for DOT regulations. All brands of Dual wheel pickups have them in one form or another.

Any vehicle over 80" wide is required to have the 3 light bar on the rear of vehicle as well as facing forward. That is also why roof clearance lights are not an option that can be deleted on the 3500's.



I personally like the look of the bar and would consider putting one on my truck if I could find one. I heard that if you buy it from DC you have to buy it in pieces instead of one unit.

The light comes as a unit with the harness attached for around $40. I just ordered one for my louvered tailgate that I use with my fiver.

It probably looks a little funky on a silver truck, but it blends right in on the Dark Garnet Red

That's an idea, maybe I will just take it off and paint the lens silver and pull the bulbs. Then if the DOT says something it's an easy fix.

Just finished the marker light install on my louvered tailgate. Currently the tailgate is installed on my couch and waiting for spring. Using the Dodge parts it just plugs into the existing wiring. Dean, eat your heart out. Casey
