Rear main seal (2nd time) and extension housing seal.

Both are covered under extended warranty. Guess I'll have the dealer under my truck again. I have had pan, trans pan, timing case(twice), rear main(twice) rear axle seal(twice), plus whatever

I can't remember at the moment. Are there more leaks I can look forward to:mad:. Iv'e seen a few post about leaks, but are many of you having this many?

LEAKS

So Far at 15,000 miles I have only had my right PTO cover leak and my pinion seal leak. Had the pinion seal repaired at the dealership but I was sniffing around and found that it is weeping a bit. The dealer put dye in my transmission to keep tabs on the PTO cover leaking. What that is supposed to do I can only guess as there is gear oil on the transmission already. What will dye and oil tell them that oil couldn't?

I have heard of other leaks but it doesn't seem that everyone gets a leak when the get a Dodge.

42K so far and no leaks, except the oil puke bottle :D What kind of fluids are you using and how many miles on your truck? I use Rotella T 15w40 and Mopar dealer fluid everywhere else. Truck is stock. What mods have you made?

103,000 miles and no leaks!!!

I have 103,000 miles on my '99 and no leaks!!!:D :D My '92 started leaking at 40,000 miles and still seaps today at 242,000+ miles. :--)

Over 50,000 miles,no leaks yet. Uncle has a '98 had the rear main seal, transfercase rear seal and timming seal replaced at under 40,000 miles.

I am using Amsoil in the engine and factory lube in everything else. My truck is just a baby at 15K. Something to note though, I did not have a leak till I started carrying 400 pounds of rock in my truck bed to smooth the 3/4 ton ride. Empty it would not leak. The extra weight changed the attack angle of the drive shaft and pinion shaft. I just started pulling a lil 5th whl trailer so I am extra curious if I get new leaks with the higher lube temps

no major leaks

I have 119k and only replaced an axle seal. I am incredibly abusive to my truck and she holds up pretty good. My front end has a little slop. I have had a popping noise on the right side of my front axle for 80k which no one can seem to locate but shes a fine rig.
