there's play in the rear pinion bearing and oil is starting to leak. can I just change the one bearing and seal where the driveshaft hooks on or do I have to tear the whole differential apart??

it's a very slow leak and small abount of play, can I drive it another month the way it is?? I want to get through fall clean-ups.

If things are loose there it's a good bet more could be wrong. You will probably find the carrier is loose too. Just be prepared to do all the bearings and reset everything up.
