2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Rear Pinion seal replacement ?s

I noticed yesterday that the rear axle pinion seal is leaking lube on my truck. Anyone replaced this seal? How hard is it and are any special tools necessary - like pullers, etc? I will also take the opportunity to reset the pinion preload while I am at it as I suspect that it is pretty loose. Any insight or tips would be appreciated.
