As you guys know with the rear proportining valve brake system, when loaded, its supposed to send more brake pressure to the rear under load. when I put my camper on the truck, it worked, but after installing air bags, the truck's brakes thought it was empty. so, I went down to the hardware store and got a 1/4" turnbuckle. I cut about 4" out of the rod that goes between the axle and the valve. I welded the left handed thread part of the turnbuckle to the rod (the rod is stainless on mine), and then threaded the other end of the rod (1/4"-20). When I put the camper on, I just loosen the rod, and it makes the truck think it is squatted. If I leave it loosened (lenghtned) when empty, the truck brakes MUCH MUCH better than before. The back brakes are actually working now!!!! and this is easier to do than bypass the valve, IMO. I guess you could just wire the lever up too, but I liked this idea.
I'll take some pictures and get them up if anyone is interested... ...
