Anyone ever have their back sliding glass window blow out? I got in my truck this morning to leave for work, closed the driver’s door and bam. Sounded like ice falling off the truck but when I turn my head this is what I was looking at.

Yea but when I broke mine in my '99 it was my fault my 4-wheeler bumper hit it I thought I had it tied in good enough to keep it from rolling forward. NOT! The slider that I replaced it with was not as good as my factory one either.

glass

If there is a small scratch or nick on the glass this will weaken the lite and cause it to shatter. Lite is the correct term for a glass pane.

You can actually hit a door lite with a steel hammer and it will not shatter because it is safety plate. One small inperfection, scratch, or nick and the glass will shatter !!! Have demonstrated this to high school kids in the auto body shop. :-laf

I was driving along a dirt road and that happened. It sounded like a shot. I thought my quad hit it (mine was the driver's side), but if my quad moved far enough to break the window that broke, it would have smashed the center part first. The winch sticks out a bit further. Scared the he!! out of me!

Hmm I thought that's what the cab vents were for, to relieve the pressure... The only complaint with mine is my dang latch busted off, very cheesy...
