Hey,

Do any of you Guys know if and where I can buy a Replacement Plastic Thing-a-ma-bob silencer that goes in between the individual rear leafs on the rear spring packs?

I must have too Much Torque and have had the trucks Suspension Flexed to far for the Rear Spring Sqeek Silencer to handle.

Now its Gone and the Sqeek and Growning from the rear springs at slow speeds is annoying me. Deal wants $350 per spring pack!

Any Help out there?

Thanks.

Doug.

I had the same problem and then I had the TSB done on my truck. It is a world of difference now, n more squeak.

I did have to take the truck to a different dealer for service, the local *****dealer did not want to do the work. Thank the good Lord because I do not trust them anyway. Took it to the dealership where I purchased the truck and they were happy to do the work. They just took my word, ordered the parts and installed them.

Thanks guys, I will take the TSB into the Dealer, Order the Parts and Fix it myself

Thanks again for the TSB #.

MoparDave-Great Info

Thats why I love this Forum. But I would love to see a Dodge Mech change them on both springs in the . 7 hours that is allowed. 45 minutes?

Doug. . there is a spring place in Visalia. . forget the name off the top of the old noggin. . they do HD springs for lots of vehc. also sway bars ect.

e-mail Rick Harvey he can tell the name. .

Rear Springs would be an easy job IMHO. Support the truck by the frame and let the rear end hang. Put something under the rear axle to support it. Remove springs... . and reinstall. Only about 6 nuts/bolts per side if I am not mistaken. :D

Yahoo!

I went over to SanJoaquin Dodge in taft, And Bought all they had(3) for $2. 50 each.

Thanks for the Help , I love this Board!
