A friend has had two 4x4 2500 trucks where the left rear sway link lower bolt has become unthreaded. It's a compression nut (18MM) you would think would not come loose. He was on a trip when the second one gave up and that caused the shank on the link to become galled to the point the link needed replacement. This is on a 2021 truck with 44K miles. Does have some off road use. I replaced it for him with a part from Oreillys but they had a bit of a problem finding it in their catalogue. This is on a gas truck but I imagine it's the same part for a diesel 4x4. Precision K750711. The replacement came with a zerk fitting. You might want to periodically check yours to see if the lower bolt is coming loose. The first truck was a 2016 with about 36K before it was totaled. I plan to check out a Cummins 2500 truck to see if it has the same sway bar and link. I believe this is just too coincidental to not be something we should check when doing our own service.
