The other day I noticed a low speed torque induced squeak from somewhere under the truck which got progressively worse. While on my way to have it looked at by the dealer anything above 60 m. p. h. would produce a good shudder and growl. As I thought one of the U-Joints or more was on its way out. Dealer service states "Rear propeller shaft U-joint noisy and binding 16-50-05-02 0. 5 Removed and replaced rear propeller shaft U-joint. " Does anybody know of a greaseable joint? I'm sure this was a contributing factor to the failure (non-serviceable). Also it appears my rear tailshaft housing dust seal (cracking around yolk) on the NV5600 is going, there is a light oil spray (No drips) on the fuel tank heat shield which I thought they would have caught but may not have been an issue since they serviced the transmision while it was there.

Here we go again!! :-laf

Your rear driveshaft takes Precision #351's that are available at Napa or www.rockauto.com (cheaper on rock auto). They are also greasable.

If the dealer didnt replace all three then they shorted you because I bet that wasnt the only one that was going bad. Usually the one at the transmission goes bad too.
