I've tried searching this but still can't make out exactly what I need to do. I have a 2006 Mega Cab 6spd 4x4 with the OEM rear driveshaft. It sounds like they put two sizes of joints on these trucks and there is no rhyme or reason as to which truck got a certain size. From what I can tell, some got 1 3/16 cap and others got 1 3/8 cap. It looks like my truck has 1 3/8 cap. I was wanting to go with all spicers but they don't currently make a replacement for the 1 3/8. From what I can tell I need the Precision 351A? Thanks

Weird. I had no idea they came in different sizes. Are you measuring once the factory Ujoint and injected plastic has been removed?

I just replaced the joints in my 05 3500 dually with the 351A. I had a chance to spend some time with a vendor overseas and they were casting and making parts for Eaton/Spicer with the Spicer Logo on the parts. . Even though the product is labeled made in the USA and assembled in Mexico, I know that some of the parts are manufactured off shore. .

I ordered the 351A's from an on line source... something like $10-$11 each... I put them on maybe 5K miles ago and have been starting to watch them with my inf-red temperature gun when I stop in a rest stop, when I check the tires, brakes, hubs, etc...

The 351A's have a grease fitting on them, and that's a plus over the OE joints. . the seal seems to be better on the OE joint but time will tell... I just need to give them a little shot of grease every few thousand miles. .

Just my thoughts. .
