Does anyone know who sells the oversize rear wheel brake cylinders and disc brake kits for the 2500 and 3500 rams? I thought it was a company in Canada but lost their page. My 97 has never had enough brakes.
Actually they are standard parts that you should be able to get at any parts store. Search for wheel cylinders. There was a recent post with part numbers and sizes.
Thanks guys for the help on the wheel cyls. Picked up some this A. M. . I have new master cyl and proportioning valve on order. My 97 4x4 slt ext cab diesel long bed has 111K miles and the rear brake shoes still are as thick as the new ones I bought to put on it. Not even any dust in the rivit holes, so I know they aren't working. THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS.
Reddog1---increasing the size of the rear cylinders has no affect on the antilock brakes under most braking conditions. the increase in pressure can make the anti-lock operate more under hard braking or slick roads. the increase in braking effeciency is worth the effort. a little weight in the bed makes a big difference. ---Sam
