Rebuild a turbo

Has anyone ever rebuilt a turbo?
I remember doing it one or two times when I was younger. It's not rocket science.
I have a "spare" inbound.
If it's a comparable price, I may just get a factory center cartridge.
Holset of course. No offshore stuff.
Are there any kits out there that I can enlarge the cold side wheel? Sources?
I also want to get a 16cm exhaust side w/o a waste gate.

Hello, I use the High Tech Turbo stage 3 compressor wheel and cover upgrade from Pure Diesel Power on my hx35.

I’m still using the 12cm housing for the quick spooling.

***This type of upgrade requires machining the face for the larger wheel***

I had my turbo upgraded by Turbo ReSource in AZ and it was a great price. Others here on the forum have a Turbo ReSource turbo if you want to send it out to get done.
