anybody done this? I Bought a kit from NAPA and since I'm going to do the vacuum pump I thought I would eliminate that leak in the ps pump too. Any tips, suggestions, warnings?

edit: is a ps rebuild more difficult than a vacuum pump and go with a reman ps pump or is it similar to the vacuum pump?

Nobody has done this? I'm beginning to think that a reman pump is going to be less complicated than a rebuild kit. I have a leak at the high press outlet, I think. It's hard to separate the vacuum pump leak from the ps pump leak. Oh well, I guess I'll wing it on my own.

Chuck, I don't know if the Dodge PS pump is complicated or not. I rebuilt my 1972 3/4 ton Suburban PS pump with a kit from NAPA, and it was relatively easy. It took me about two hours, and I had never rebuilt one before, so I took my time and double checked my work. Good luck to you.

I'm learning alot on this power steering pump replace while doing a vacuum pump overhaul. I'll report when it's all over. I'm beginning to think that rockauto.com is the very first place I will go to get the diesel parts I want. Insert disclaimer here.
