Does anyone know of a reputable repair shop for the REC radios that have NAV capabilities for the 3rd Gen trucks?

Behind the wall this is a Becker Navi, so it is an idea to ask a mercedes benz dealer or repair shop for mercedes electronics.

I'm thinking on replacing my REC NAV unit with a Clarion NX605 unit, my REC NAV now has no display and I was lucky to be able retrieve my CD's. It's $500.00 to repair it, and it's still old technology, not to mention it's not worth that much. I have found this unit, http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products-personal/multimedia/NX605/index.html for the same price. Any one install one inplace of an REC NAV unit?

I looked up the Clarion and it is supposedly discontinued by the manufacturer. It might be helpful to find out why before you go to the trouble of an install.

I have not seen that, what a waist of research. Can you post the link, I don't see that on Clarion's web site or other sites.

Ok, I looked at those links and indeed, it has been discontinued. However the NX604 (2014) NX603 (2013) and so on and so on. I looked this up on the Clarion site and got this info, but it didn't list the NX605 (2015) as of yet, but I'll assume it will be listed shortly. It's my good fortune, because it drops by $400.00, thanks for posting those Motorhead. I'll keep an eye out for further info and start looking at other brands that compare with the Clarion NX605.
