Now that I have 35" tires, I was looking to get my transmission recalibrated to read correctly. At about 35 it's right on, at 65 it's 5mph slow. How much does this actually affect the operation of the transmission? (shift points, etc)

As far as getting it done, I've had 2 dealers say they can't with 1 of them actually plugging in and trying. Goerend took my serial # and ask his local dealer and said it should be able too. Anyone else run into this?

Last, what about that respeed from TS Performance, it claims to work on my year. Just quite a bit of money for something if it don't really make much difference in how the transmission will operate.

Search for the Gear part number. I did have it but i'm sorry to say i've disposed of it. I'm running a 26 tooth gear and it's almost dead on until the tire wear badly. The part number will end in the number of teeth on the gear.

ie, XXXXX26 or XXXXXXX31

Calibrating the speedo won't help much. the transmission has a Turbine speed sensor that it uses to help control shifts.

The best shift point changing results can be had by a tps delete, using a potentiometer and some 3 strand trailer wiring harness. I used metal pins found in a kit from radio shack, soldered them onto the wires and used heat shrink to insulate all but the very tips. I plugged the ends into the factory harness, and used another larger piece of heat shrink to hold the 3 wires too the connector.

It's completely reversible. I used a 3-5K ohm pot, but the range is too large and if the setting is off just a little, it's hard to dial it back in.

I ramble a bit... sorry.
