This happened to mine... a '95. In rush hour traffic the throttle gets stuck! #ad
Ditched into a side street, new cable cost $63. 00+. This was after being at the dealer for a frame transplant, they are either stupid or they are blind! Ray Charles could have seen it!

A couple months ago there was a post concerning this and NHTSA wanted old throttle cables, can't seem to find it. I would like my $65. 00 bucks back!

Mike, you will probably get your money back, I did on the hitch recall even though I replaced mine with a non-Dodge hitch before the recall. The wheels of government sure are slow, I first complained to the NHTSA about the cable in '97, there were many other complaints already logged there about it even then.

Sam here sam. There was some talk about reimbursement for us who already have done it.

I looked for my recipt till I was blue in the face. Can't find it #ad

Here's the wording from the NTHSA website. It states the year involved(of course we all know what years were involved #ad
) All I have is the receipt from the install of a new one for my 94.

I dam sure plan on getting reimbursed. I'm also going to let the dealer fight the one on my other Ram. This replacement set up is RIDICULOUSE! Why didn't they put the same size of clip on the end so it could be a simple snap off, snap on replacemant? #ad

95 2500 SLT Laramie 3. 54 automatic JVC cd out of factory infinity system, southwest grill gaurd (a favorite amongst the deer population), K&N chunked, AFC adjusted, "gutless" cat, Geno's dual EGT/boost gauge, TST #6 plate slid all the way forward, AFC housing slid all the way forward, silencer ring removed
Just aquired 95 2500 SLT Laramie 4x4 automatic, innocent, stock and anxiously awaiting being defiled by bombing... .

This is specific to the 12V; the 24V is a TPS (electronic). Had the balljoint drop off my '95; zip tied it back together after it towed my 14000 lb trailer up a long grade AT IDLE. Cool.

Anyways, off to 12V engine/drivetrain...
