In my July issue of Trailer Life on page #81 under the column RECALLS it states; D/C is recalling 157,000 ( 94-96) Dodge Ram pickups with diesel engines. On certain pickup trucks, the throttle cable could unravel(fray) or break, resulting in loss of throttle control. Dealers will inspect and replace the throttle cable and upper bell crank lever.
NHTSA Recall #01V037
D\C Recall # 970
I called my dealer and he said he hadn't received the recall notice as of today.
I had mine replaced in Florida last year and ask him if I had the reciept if I could get reimbursed and he said when you get the recall notice it will tell you what to do to get reimbursed.
Now if they would only do something about those transmission lines and the killer dowel pin, I'd be very happy.
There's also two more recalls listed ; #966 and #971
