Got a RECALL notice yesterday, it seems DC now wants to do somthing about the throttle springs. I've had pedal return problems twice already.

What is the recall number? Unless they released a new recall I wouldn't be surprised I find about them here or on the news before at work. They don't replace the springs just the ball joint assemblies in the throttle linkage.

Safety Recall Notification # B15

Specifics: DaimlerChrysler - Safety Recall to Replace Your Trucks Throttle Linkage Components.

Exists in some 1997 & 1998 model year Dodge Ram Pickup Trucks with Cummins Turbo Diesel Engine.

Problem is the throttle control linkage joints may corrode and cause the throttle to bind or stick.

Has happened to me several times, Not a good thing. Usually spray linkage with Silicon spray to free up, works for awhile.

I have the same recall notice ignored it and they sent again.

Should I really let the dealer tinker with my truck I dont let them touch my stuff but maybe I should allow this to be done??
